Bartlett TX is one of the most unique historic towns in Texas. The Bartlett National bank was opened in 1904 and was an operating bank until the 1930's. It was rescued from its abandoned state and has been lovingly restored as a place to stand arm in arm with the past and future. The Bartlett National Bank now boasts 2 bedrooms in the old banker office spaces, a kitchen in what was the old teller station with the teller walls still in tact. The Bank Managers office is now your study and contains letters originally written in that very office in the early 1920's. The old bank vaults serve as a pantry and wine cellar. The soaring ceilings are ornate and showcase the true beauty of this historic building. You'll be able to gaze at the detail while resting on the sleeper sofa in the bank lobby turned living room. The Bartlett National Bank is a one of a kind stay in the most photographed town in Texas! We can't wait to welcome you! You will have the entire unit. Prior to check in you will receive a secure door code that will only be available for your stay. No other guest will have had your code. There are 2 front doors. The door with the entry code is the door that faces Clark Street (and is lit by the street lamp). Immediately inside to the right is a light switch. The cottage has one bedroom and one bath along with a queen size sleeper sofa. It is furnished and decorated to make you feel at home and to give you the opportunity to relax and enjoy the view. The kitchen is fully equipped with all needed appliances. The cottage has a full size washer and dryer, direct tv, flat screen tv, dvd blue ray player and is centrally heated and air conditioned. We are a pet friendly property. We have pets and are glad to allow you to bring your pet, with a special agreement with us. We love to garden, so you will be able to experience gardening (and possibly some fresh veggies), while you are here. We are 1/2 mile west of I-30 and 3 miles east of I-35. Your furry friends are welcome at the villa. We do charge a $40 pet fee per pet. We live on site and are available if you need us. We only ask that you treat the villa as if it were your own. We live adjacent to the property. Access to our property is via a private gravel road with a 10 mph speed limit. We ask that you enter and exit our property via Hwy 29, NOT the other direction down our private road that dead ends into the subdivision.
